Fire engulfed over 600 shops in Bida Market
Over 600 shops at the old market in Bida Niger state have been destroyed by fire on Thursday night.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the fire, which began at about 8.30pm destroyed products and other properties in the old market.According to eye witnesses, fire fighters from the Bida Fire Service and Federal Polytechnic Fire Service couldn't get to the consumed segment of the market as a few shops were still, on fire.
So far the reason for the inferno couldn't be ascertain as of the time of the report.
